What a wonderful day it was to spend time with our community and see all the children. What a true blessing from God!
On Saturday, October 24, the Etowah Republican Assembly joined Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s Truck or Treat at the 2026 Fall Festival at Ridge Ferry Park. Thank you to everyone who came out and braved reaching right into George the giant hippo’s mouth to grab their candy. Seeing the kids’ faces light up when they met him made all the work building him completely worth it.

The Kids Have Spoken
We believe it’s vital to give children a meaningful introduction to active citizenship, so our trunk included a hands-on candy vote. Floyd Trunk or Treaters cast 298 ballots, and the results were:
M&M’S: 74
Twix: 72
Reese’s: 61
Kit Kat: 60
Snickers: 31
We do declare the triumphant M&M’S to be the Sovereign Favorite of the Day!
